Self service lavanderia: This is what we used and they are really nice and automated. At the one we visited in Florence, you select a washer and load your clothes up to 9 kg. You then put the bills or coins in a separate automatic box on the wall, being sure to select the appropriate washer number.

If you're going to be in Florence for 10 days, I'd suggest asking the desk staff at your hotel for suggestions. They usually know where the closest laundry facilities are. If you do a Google search on "Lavanderia Florence", it will show a map with the locations of many facilities.

Florence will be mid-trip and a good time to do laundry, as I won't have any clean clothes left by then.
